Waiting Room

This piece was inspired by Diana Athey of http://www.doomdollies.com true life story. She was once a ballerina but due to tragic circumstances had to give up on her life's work. This box paints the portrait of someone being trapped in their own personal Hell, waiting, stuck, helpless to move forward. Above the ballerina is the Heaven of Daydreams filled with timeless lovers. The message of the piece is that there's a world outside your daydreams and though you may feel stuck - you're really the only person keeping you there.
