My oldest daughter Phaedra is selling Girl Scout Cookies, and this week I took the order forms to work. I sent a mass email and immediately felt like Johnny Depp from BLOW. It was as if cookies weren’t sold anywhere else on the planet. People who I don’t normally talk to at work were taking hours pondering their cookie choices. Some guys were receiving orders by phone from spouses as if a large Girl Scout counch horn was sounded…I saw pupils dialate and shoulders hunched in a junkie stance. I had only a dayto take orders and I filled 2 sheets for 70 boxes. When I had to sell chocolate bars for little league I sold like 2 bars…at that was to my family. And now when that time of year springs forth, and the thin mints are harvested…we all must don the sash and ALWAYS BE CLOSING!!!! -John
